What is the Second Death?

In Revelations 2:11 Jesus mentions a Second Death. Does He mean that after the judgment those who do not go to Heaven will die again, this time forever?

Jesus answers this question for us in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man recorded in Luke 16:22-34. The rich man is in hell. He is not physically dead. He is alive and tormented forever. He has no hope of redemption. There is no purgatory to get him into heaven. Purgatory is based upon a passage in the Septuagint (2 Maccabees 12:45). The Hebrew-language Old Testament confirmed by the Hebrews in A. D 90 does not include the books of Maccabees in its text, therefore purgatory is heterodox (false) doctrine and must be regarded as heretical.

What then is the second death? It is a spiritual death in that after Judgment Day the Holy Spirit (or the Spirit) is not available to convert the individual thus consigning him or her to everlasting torment both physical and spiritual: physical in that the body will have eternal pain inflicted upon it and mental and spiritual because the individual knows that the reason for being in Hell is his or her fault entirely.

It is my prayer that if the alleged statement of the Church of Rome denying the existence of hell has actually occurred, she will recant and not fall into that trap constructed by Satan. May the Blessed Holy Trinity keep her from such folly.
