Psalm 40:1-2 (NET): “I relied completely on the Lord, and he turned toward me and heard my cry for help. He lifted me out of the watery pit and the slimy mud. He placed my feet on a rock and gave me secure footing.”
Does David’s words resemble what Jesus has done for each of us who believe and trust Him? Hasn’t Jesus heard our pleas for help to get out of uncomfortable situations, lifting us out of those situations, placing our feet on solid ground, and giving us balance and time to rest? Matthew 11:28-30 (NET): “Come to me, all weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.”
Isaiah 41:13 (NET): “For I am the Lord your God, the one who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am helping you.”
Trust in the Lord; He is with you and will comfort you.
