Paul to Titus – Disruptive Members

Heretical and Schismatic Members

Titus 3:9-11
9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and contentions and quarrels about the law, for they are useless and fruitless. 10 Reject a divisive person after a first and second admonition, 11 knowing that such a person is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

Personal thoughts on concluding Titus:
Why does the western world believe they have any skin in the game when it comes to those things the Lord spoke specifically to the Hebrews? Why is that the western world believes they are part of the genealogy of the Hebrew people? Why is that the western world attempts to secure the promises made to God’s to the Hebrews as their own? These questions and many others are part of what could be considered useless, fruitless, divisive, and perverted. We are not to entertain such notions or linage. We are to believe in and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and nothing more. Paul writes in Galatians 4:1-7 Paul writes:
1 I say that as long as the heir is a child, he is not distinct from the Servants, though he is Master over all of them; 2 But he is under guardians and stewards until the time that his father has appointed. 3 In this way also when we were children, we were enslaved under the principles of the world. 4 But when the end of time arrived, God sent his Son and he was from a woman and was under The Written Law, 5 That he would redeem those who were under The Written Law, and that we would receive the position of children. 6 But because you are children, God has sent The Spirit of his Son into your hearts, who cries, “Father, our Father”. 7 And therefore you are not Servants but children, and if children, also the heirs of God by Yeshua The Messiah.
And in Ephesians 1:1-14 we see that we are adopted and not a replacement of the Hebrew people. We share in God’s mercy and grace through Jesus Christ as a united family. As adopted we have the same rights and privileges while not having the same history or the same genealogy. There is no need to discuss the origins since God has already informed us of it. There is no reason for any on us to get involved with controversies, and I must admit that I am one of the chief sinners in this regard because I dig into things that truly have no basis in regard to salvation, forgiveness, mercy, grace, and the freedom granted to us once we have been adopted into the family and are born again from above. The entire gospel message is very simple indeed; there is no reason to dispute things that have no bearing on what Jesus did for all of humanity. We believe, we are born anew from above, we walk by faith and not by site, we trust is the Lord without deviation, and we stay clear of disputes regarding the law or teaching, and who we are in Christ.
With that said, I pray that everyone live in accordance to the instructions we have received through the apostles and fight the good fight. Please read 1 Timothy 6:1-21.
God bless and prosper you and give you strength to finish the race.
Michael
