There is nothing new under the sun!
It has been a month since my last post and the reason is due to everything happening in our world; our country; our states, and our communities. During this time, I have been reading and studying the writings of Ezekiel and Daniel, and what I have seen is something that has caused me great concern for my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. From what I have read, studied, prayed about, and saw in these two writings revealed the path our country is on and the direction the world has decided to take. It reveals that there is a great calamity (judgment) our nation is going to go through, that is like what the nation of Israel and God’s city Jerusalem went through, and there is no turning back, no way to avoid what is happening, and what we are about to witness. There will be great turmoil, death, destruction, and all sorts of wickedness that will take place unless we as a nation stop our death and destruction by returning to God and obeying His commandments. You see, it isn’t the casual believer who will be spared the judgment coming; it is those believers who obey God’s commandments and believe in Jesus (Yeshua). Unfortunately, there will not be many who obey God’s commandments and believe in Yeshua to be spared just like we are told in Ezekiel and other prophets. Scripture is loaded with stories of so-called believers that have turned their backs on God and paid the ultimate price. Everyone should read for themselves what happens to those who mock God and the various forms of judgment that God used, so people could understand that He is the sovereign God, and that there are no other gods before or after Him.
Today is no different! There is nothing new under the sun. People continue to mock God and believe they are getting away with it, and they are not. We will see famine, pestilence, wars, cultural battles, sinfulness sold as normal, Christian organizations refusing to stand with God by accepting everything God has condemned. No one will escape the coming terror–no one!
This is what I have been struggling with the past month. It is not easy to accept God’s wrath because I want to protect my family from what is coming. What is frustrating is knowing I cannot protect anyone; I can only continue to lead them to accept Yeshua and hope and pray that they only rely on Him to see them through what is ahead of us. When I say what is ahead of us, I don’t mean sometime in the distant future, oh no, these things will be happening sooner than most of us wish to believe.
In Daniel chapter nine there is a pleading (prayer) and confession that Daniel makes before God because of what he saw in the writing of Jeremiah, where God told the prophet that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years. His lament is what we should be praying today, because as a nation, we are doing what Israel did during the times of the prophets and what so-called Christians did under Constantine: disobeying God, dishonoring what Yeshua did for us on the cross, and by turning to evil as something good, and what is good, saying it is evil.
Read for yourself, Daniel 9:7-19 (KJV)
There is too much to be concerned about today, and our families are most important to us because they are part of who and what we are. It is heart- wrenching to imagine not spending eternity with our loved ones because they may be heading in the opposite direction. We must plead with God, just as Daniel did, for his people, and city. Things will get worse for all of us; but if God will just bend His ear and listen to our cries for mercy, we might have time to bring our loved ones and others along with us to be with the Lord.
These are stressful and uncertain times: America is falling, and its people are falling with it. We need to be an example for others, so they see there is refuge in Christ Jesus (Yeshua), not in government, not in another human being, but in Yeshua alone. That there is peace, comfort, and joy knowing that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, and that no matter what happens, we will be with Yeshua and others for all eternity.
Remember, if you believe in Jesus, and obey what God has given us to follow, and what Yeshua has taught us, we cannot be rejected because to do so, God will have to reject Yeshua first and God will never do such a thing. With that said, how can we allow uncertainty, fear, and stress to deter us from following Yeshua, and leading others to follow Him also? Time is short, much shorter than ever before, and we need to be ready to meet the Lord of glory, and to prepare others to meet the Lord.
Again, I apologize for being tardy in my writing. There was much to learn and to understand before I could write again, and there may be more time between posts as we near the end of the age.
Please be prayerful and filled with God’s love.
