God Hears Our Prayers

Do not be disheartened!

No matter the prayer God hears all we have to say. He may not grant our requests and pleas in the time frame we have in our mind, rest assured He will answer.

And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12).

These words are for those who have faith in the name of the Son of God, so that you may have the assurance that eternal life belongs to you. Our confidence in Him is because we know He listens to us when we ask for anything that aligns with his will for us. We know He is listening to us when we make our requests, because the requests we make will be granted.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” (1 John 5:13-15)
.

There is someone who will try and convince your that God does not hear you or care about you. Satan will do everything he can to undo what Jesus has done for us. Satan knows he cannot possess a believer, but he can oppress a believer if that believer does not understand what is happening. You have an abundant life that Jesus gave to us, do not allow Satan a foothold into your thoughts to convince you it is nothing but a lie.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10).

According to John, Jesus gave us a life that is filled abundantly. The abundant life that Jesus gives us stands in stark contrast to the intentions of the thief, as Jesus himself said. The words of Jesus confirm that the thief’s motives are focused on killing, stealing, and destroying what was given freely by Jesus. Again, it is important for every one of us to pray fervently for an abundant life in Christ, and to remain steadfast in our determination to resist any efforts made by the thief to hinder the abundant life that Jesus has graciously given us.

The Whole Armor of God

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:10-18).
