“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teaches in all good things” Galatians 6:6 (KJV)
The word “taught” as used in Gal. 6:6. It comes from the Greek word Zoopoleo; from zoos, alive, and poieo, to make alive. Make alive, vivify (Jn. 6:63; 1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:6). Used primarily in the N.T.
of raising the dead to life (Jn. 5:21); Rom. 4:17; 8:11; 1 Cor. 15:22, 36; 1 Pet. 3:18). Generally used in reference to salvation, answering to the Pauline connection between righteousness and life (Gal. 3:21). The word “word” used here refers to the sum of God’s utterances (logos), the usage here is not rhema, which denotes that which is spoken, uttered in speech, or writing. Sure, it has other meanings, just not in this verse. It is reflective of the argument Paul is concluding.
That we are alive in Christ and that our knowledge is the result of God’s utterances, not our own and not taught by man. It is the message from the Lord, delivered with His authority and made effective by His power.
The word “teaches” used here comes from the Greek word katecheo; contracted; katecho, fut. katecheso from kata an intens., echeo, to sound. To sound, teach, instruct orally. “Spoken of the oral instruction or preaching of the Apostles and early Christian teachers.
We could translate this verse to say:
“And let the one who is alive by the gospel relate the gospel by sharing all good things with him who teaches,” or we could say: “And let the one who is saved by the word impart something useful with him who instructs.
