Awareness
Are you aware that non-Hebrews were not under grace in the Old Testament? Are you aware that non-Hebrews and Hebrews came under grace with the New Covenant? The Old Covenant to the New Covenant is a transitional event. I don’t believe a new religion or religious structure was to be formed after Jesus went back to the father. Man created a new religion and religious system because they must have a means to control, gain wealth, and maintain power over the masses. Religion is nothing but the largest redistribution of wealth operation ever devised, and it was not sanctioned by Jesus, and he will hold people accountable for their misrepresentation of the Kingdom when He returns to earth. Surly we have congregations, leaders guiding those congregations, and places to fellowship and learn. However, a business is not a congregations need. Each congregation must focus on a pure form of religion like in James 1: 26-27.
One other important piece of information is that the New Covenant did not begin with the birth of Jesus, or even during his ministry; the new covenant began with Jesus speaking it into existence during the last supper and consummated that new covenant on the cross. Everything Jesus preached during His ministry was for God’s chosen people; to lead them into accepting the New Covenant: which they rejected simply out of arrogance, pride, and the unquenchable thirst for power. Were you aware that during His ministry there were gentiles who heard him preach and believed (Luke 7:9; Luke 23:47-49), and when Jesus sent out his disciples, they were told NOT to visit with the gentiles or the Samaritans (Matthew 10:5-6)? Why? Because it was not yet time for the gospel to be preached to the non-Jews. That all changed immediately after the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2: 14-36).
All I’m doing here is stating the same things the Apostles wrote about. All I’m attempting to do is point out the contamination of the faith in the western church by Constantine. The New Covenant is about God-Love not self-love, and a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, not through a man pretending to be Jesus’ representative to earth. Jesus named these people in Matthew 23: 27. We are no longer bound by laws, rules, regulations, those chains of oppression have been broken. We are free from the law of sin and death just as it states in Romans 8:2.
Life as we knew it has morphed into something far different and dangerous. We must understand our position as believers and how we are to represent God’s Kingdom until Jesus returns. We cannot mix old and new covenants, Mark 2:22 like so many do today.
Regardless, we are to God-Love one another and treat others as Christ would treat them.
