It is truly remarkable to witness the incredible effectiveness of this medicine in rejuvenating and nourishing the soul. It is important for us to consciously strive to identify and carefully evaluate our behaviors. Because of His remarkable ability to perceive everything and possess an extensive knowledge, he is considered both all-seeing and all-knowing. For those who know and walk with the Lord our God, the ultimate purpose we strive for in this life is to consistently seek His presence and nurture a deepening relationship with Him. In the process of examining our ways and evaluating our progress with Jesus in this life, it is important for us to be ready and willing to confront any internal thoughts or emotions that have the potential to create distance between us and Him. When you notice such a drift, make sure to take notice of the remedy, which is to examine your ways and turn back to the Lord. In a world that is growing darker by the day, he serves as our guiding light, illuminating our path and providing us with much-needed guidance. Have you ever taken a moment to pause and reflect on the state of your heart, carefully considering and evaluating the things that you are currently holding onto? It might be beneficial for you to take into consideration making certain adjustments to your course. Express your profound spiritual devotion by wholeheartedly presenting your heart to Him and reaffirm your unwavering physical commitment by once again offering your hands to Him. You do not belong to yourself, just as something you create belongs to you, then you as a creation belong to the one who created you–and it is not your mother and father, it is the one true God who created all of us.
Examination:
1 Corinthians 11:28 [But a person must [prayerfully] examine himself [and his relationship to Christ], and only when he has done so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup.]
2 Corinthians 13:5 [Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you fail to meet the test!]
2 Peter 1:10-11 [Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.]
Who you belong to:
1 Corinthians 3:18-23 [Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future; all are yours, and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.]
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 [Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, or you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.]
Justified by Faith
Galatians 2:15-21 [“We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.”]
Ponder on how you could inadvertently block God’s grace from remaining active in your life. You know, we can hinder God’s grace in our lives by relying on our own good works instead of placing our trust in Christ Jesus, and if we interfere by injecting our righteousness, we risk nullifying God’s grace in our lives.
If your ways matches the worlds culture, and not a Biblical culture, are you sure you are in the faith?
Shalom
