After more than two-thousand years how can anyone still believe?
Emmanuel means (God is with us)
Let’s begin:
How many of you struggle with holding on to the belief about a person by the name of Emanuel born over 2,000 years ago who is known as Jesus Christ (Joshua the Anointed one). I’ll bet there are a lot of people who simply are not honest with themselves and others. People who have doubt about their own convictions are in churches across the world and I believe those of us who are convinced that Jesus is alive today and coming again have an obligation, a service as followers of Christ Jesus to reach out to individuals struggling with their faith and who hide their doubt for fear of rejection. I can empathize with those who have competing ideas that override their religious ideas. Let’s face it, the world is evolving; medical technology advances are mind boggling, technology in general is moving faster than our brain cells can keep up; access to information of all types at our fingertips is overwhelming; space travel and potential space exploration brings an entire new dimension to our thinking today. Much of our world is connected like never before: It is as if our world has become interdependent on each other and even interconnected.
There is no way to avoid the very real possibility of a centralized world government and world monetary system, and everything else needed to govern society. All of this can cause a lot of confusion, doubt, fear, anxiety, and a host of other adjectives and it is only going to get more overwhelming. However, there is one area within humanity that is not keeping pace with the advancements in technology: human behavior, and it almost seems as if humanity is regressing behaviorally while technology advances unabated. With this type of dynamic consider the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for a moment; consider that AI could replace humanity since it advances alongside all other technical advancements or surpasses everything technological. Consider how that will interfere with our brain cells when it comes to faith and survival, and notice how uncivil people are becoming already, and how there seems to be a developing attitude of no concern for others today. Even on the highways people are overly aggressive and acting irresponsible while behind the wheel of a fast-moving missile: And believe it not, technology may be advancing while society and humanity is unraveling, and all of this, every bit of it, is written in the scriptures.
Astrophysicists argue our universe is a projection on the 3D edge of a 4D black hole.

When you read something like this you begin to wonder if what you have been told your entire life is nothing more than a dream or just a myth upon a myth. Well, as you know there is no way to prove or disprove the existence of God except that we are here and no one else is–yet. Or when you are hit with this idea: Astronomer: “Was Our Universe Created in a Laboratory?” To read this article click here.
Regardless of what our scientists produce, their physics is limited by the space we occupy and there is no conceivable way they could determine the actual beginning without the Biblical record. Did anyone consider why we humans seem to be aliens on this planet? We don’t fit the species category for evolved life here on earth. We had to come from someplace else or deliberately created here with an intelligence that no other life form on earth possesses. We humans are different than any other species on this planet, and we are created to rule this planet and tend to it as a higher life form. The God of the Bible is outside our understanding of time. God created time for us humans, so we had a way to determine one moment from the next. As 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NIV) informs us “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
Without God we would not have been created with intelligence from the get-go. Our intelligence did not come slowly or evolve over time, it was in us the moment God breathed life into man. Can I prove that? No, I cannot. Can I disprove that? No, I cannot. How do I know there is a real God? Because if there isn’t a God I would not be here today. How do I know God is real? Because when I honestly believed in Him and believed on Jesus Christ everything changed, all I knew of my life was changed in an instant, and I began to understand, and was made new, and discovered that God truly does love us: See 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NASB).
I started to have understanding, knowledge, and an awareness that I cannot explain, except to say that since I accepted Jesus Christ to be what and who He is was like being awakened from a long sleep. I am awe-struck to know and understand things of God that I could not know before as a person asleep and detached from Him. I understand this all sounds mystical and esoteric and I can say for certain that when my life changed, I understood, and that understanding brought about a world of insight that I have never learned on my own. It is a gift from God, and all who believe and accept Jesus Christ as me and many others have will know He is, and no longer doubt.
Look at a few scriptures that deal with technology:
Genesis 11:6 (ESV) “And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”
Daniel 12:4 (ESV) “But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
2 Chronicles 26:15 (ESV) “In Jerusalem he made engines, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and great stones. And his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong.”
Exodus 31: 1-5 (ESV) “The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.’
There are many others that refer to technology as well as behavior. The book of Job is a good place to start when it comes to human behavior. Job was written before the great flood and to me, Job is a companion to Genesis 6, if not written around the same time. Here are a few other scriptures that illustrate behavior:
Daniel 7:1-28 (ASV)
Daniel 12:1-13 (ASV)
Mark 13:1-37 (ASV)
Matthew 24:1-51 (ASV)
Luke 21; 1-38 (ASV)
Timothy 4:1 (ASV)
Timothy 3:1-5 (ASV)
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 (ASV)
2 Peter 3:3-4 (ASV)
Joel 2:28-32 (ASV)
Revelations 13:1-18 (ASV).
There are many more scriptures that talk about behavior before the flood and behavior after the flood, and what I see happening is a regression of human behavior to pre-flood times. Bottom line here is that today’s world populace is not prepared for the technology advances we are experiencing, and the result is frustration, anxiety, depression, lack of trust, wavering faith, and the slow regression to barbaric behavior. I’ll add this, none of this is an accident, and none of this is by human design, all that we are seeing, and experiencing is spoken of in the scriptures. It is not time to turn toward secular science as your new god! It is time to get down on your knees and pray that the Lord reveals to you His presence, so you firmly understand that He is not dead, that He is alive and well and with every believer who seeks His face and presence. Gosh, there is so much to say here and to share that I could not summarize in a single post. The only thing I could add is that the Scriptures are more advanced than any technology we currently have or any technological breakthroughs that we might have today or a thousand years from today.
I’ll leave this post with the following scriptures:
Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV) “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”
Psalm 25:10 (NIV) “All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.”
Revelation 14:12 (NIV) “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.”
Hebrews 12:2 (NIV) “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 11:7 (NIV) “By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NIV) “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one…”
Romans 16:26 (NIV) “…but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith…”
1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV) “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
I understand the temptations before everyone today. I understand the questioning of one’s beliefs today. I understand the pull of technology today. I understand how rapid changes can cause some to align with current trends. I understand wanting to survive and be able to buy and sell at a whim. I understand how difficult it is to place trust in something and someone you cannot see, smell, and touch. I also understand that to overcome all of this requires a person to be firmly rooted in the faith, and I know the only way for that to take place is to be filled with the Spirit of the Lord, and without being Spirit filled, no one can endure what is happening today, and what is going to happen tomorrow and beyond.
Hold fast to what we are told in Hebrews 11:1 (ASV) “Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.”
There is so much to share, and I pray the Lord gives me the ability to do so.
Have a wonderful life … with the very present help of God at your side: BELIEVE!
