In You I Have Taken Refuge!
Psalm 7 AMP
1 O LORD my God, in You I take refuge; Save me and rescue me from all those who pursue me,
2 So that my enemy will not tear me like a lion, dragging me away while there is no one to rescue [me].
3 O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my hands,
4 If I have done evil to him who was at peace with me, or without cause robbed him who was my enemy,
5 Let the enemy pursue me and overtake me; and let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies; rise up for me; You have commanded judgment and vindication.
7 Let the assembly of the nations be gathered around You and return on high over them.
8 The LORD judges the people; judge me, O LORD, and grant me justice according to my righteousness and according to the integrity within me.
9 Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous [those in right standing with You]; for the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.
10 My shield and my defense depend on God, who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge, and a God who is indignant every day.
12 If a man does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; he has strung and bent His [mighty] bow and made it ready.
13 He has also prepared [other] deadly weapons for Himself; he makes His arrows fiery shafts [aimed at the unrepentant].
14 Behold, the [wicked and irreverent] man is pregnant with sin, and he conceives mischief and gives birth to lies.
15 He has dug a pit and hollowed it out and has fallen into the [very] pit which he made [as a trap].
16 His mischief will return on his own head, and his violence will come down on the top of his head [like loose dirt].
17 I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness and justice, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
The End of The Age:
The age we live in should cause us to be like king David and cry out to God for protection from all those who are pursuing us. There may not be a lot of persecution Christian’s Jew’s and Muslims in the USA [currently], but that will change as the world nears the end of the age. In many parts of the world today the three monotheistic religions are under attack with most of the attacks conducted by extremists within the three greats faiths. Persecution from those outside the three faiths are also attacking those who believe on one God. During ancient times Christians and Jews were considered atheist because they refused to believe or worship the pantheon of gods of the ancient world. During Nero’s time, Christians were hung on crosses and burned alive to light the Appian Way. Mostly this one done because of the refusal to believe the emperor was god, and the refusal to worship and recognize other gods. The Christian’s refused to denounce their faith in Yeshua and their belief in the one true God. Today, we don’t have this sort of barbarism where people who don’t believe in other pagan gods are tormented and persecuted. However, that is beginning to change as we near the end of the age, or as the time of Yeshua’s return approaches. The enemy today is creating all sorts of weapons to wage war against the faithful: Their weapons today center around man created pandemics, climate change, technology, anti-freedom, green agenda, anti-self-governance, economic disparity, reliance of government instead of self. These weapons are considered innocuous by many within the faith, but they are not, and they agree with what the apostle John wrote in Revelations concerning the mark of the beast and how the governments of the world will be conduct commerce. We should recognize the signs given to us in the scriptures, we should not say all things will return to the way it was before because nothing will return to the way it was, and nothing will ever be the same again. From this point forward our world will become dark and violent, and as the faithful, we must trust in the one true God and no one else–not even ourselves. We must also pray diligently, and the prayers of king David is a source for our prayers today. Read the Psalms, locate the one your heart desires. You can change the words to meet your hearts prayer needs. Keep in mind that these psalms are important for each one of us as the end of the age nears and as our enemies encircle us.
May the One True God, the God of all creation bless and keep you safe.
